Evans Adotey, Black Maidens head coach
Black Maidens head coach, Evans Adotey has presented himself ready to continue as the coach of the national female under-17 team, should he be given the nod.
Evans Adotey guided the Black Maidens to a fabled feat of winning three matches after three games, scored 10 goals and conceded one at the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay.
However, the Maidens were painfully booted out of the competition after a 4-2 penalty defeat to Mexico in the quarter finals.
Evans Adotey told the press after the arrival of the Maidens that he would have no problem continuing as the head coach of the national female under-17 team but should the decision be otherwise, he is ready to coach a club.
At this stage, I will never lobby for a coaching job. I am into the system as a national coach. I am ready to continue with my job, but if they think otherwise, that is fine. I am available for the national coaching job as well as club job,” he added.
He added that, “I appreciate my girls for the work they did to raise the flag of Ghana high, though our target wasn’t met, we have been to the quarter finals for the previous editions and we wanted to go further this time, but it wasn’t the case, we had targeted the semi-finals.
The Black Maidens of Ghana touched down at the Kotoka international airport terminal 3 arrival hall in Accra on Wednesday.
