One-and-a-half-year-old baby girl, Davina Parker, has emerged the overall winner of the maiden edition of Cussons Baby Moments Competition held at the at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra.
Davina Parker took home a cash prize of GH¢10,000, a trophy and six PZ Cussons products to last for six months.
Baby Emerald Boateng, the first runner-up, took home GH¢2,000, a trophy and Cussons baby products with Baby Faith Nana Adwoa Mantey, the second runner-up, also taking home GH¢1,000 and some Cussons baby products.
Speaking at the event, the special Guest of honour, Oheneyere Gift Anti, expressed admiration for the Cussons Baby brand for embarking on such initiative and encouraged parents to spend more time bonding with their children, especially in their formative years.
She also discouraged parents from using modern gadgets to distract their children.
The Head of Brand Development and Activations at PZ Cussons, Ms Hafsa Arthur, stated that “Cussons Baby is a brand that has a strong heritage of caring for babies and focuses on a strong bond between a mother and her baby. This is reflected in our heart-shaped logo which symbolises a mother’s love, protection and care for her baby.”
She further stated that PZ Cussons was guided by the gentle nature of a mother’s love to develop their range of products that includes powders, lotions, oils, creams and wipes, adding that the products focused on natural, nourishing and gentle ingredients to give the best care to the sensitive skins of babies.
Renowned juvenile disc jockey, DJ Switch, who was behind the turn-table, treated guests to some entertaining tunes and performances.
The Cussons Baby Moments competition marks the beginning of an annual baby campaign the company has instituted to encourage family bonding in the country through pictures.
The competition was launched in July this year to encourage family bonding through capturing and sharing memories through photography.
