Josh Laryea launch Kharis Movement to win souls on Campus

The lead pastor and founder of Kharis Church International, Pastor Josh Laryea has launched a campus-based evangelistic wing known as the Karis Movement.

The movement is an emerging New Testament Non – Denominational church which will be operational on university campuses across the country.

The purpose of Kharis Movement is to reach out to tertiary students nationwide with the message of our Lord Jesus Christ dubbed the “CAMPUS TRAIN”.

Speaking to the media at the launch, Pastor Josh Laryea said the message of salvation is not being preached the right way as many people try to preach morality to win souls.

“Anytime you try to preach morality, you will preach selective morality; so if you will be able to stop smoking, there is another thing you also do that you have not finished doing.

“So anytime man tries to acquire morality by themselves they end up failing … We don’t preach selective morality. When we preach; we preach Christ. As we preach Christ and the gospel goes, Christ works in us,” he said.

He added that “We need to depend on the Holy Spirit and let him do the work. When we preach Christ and we see Christ, Christ works in us.

“The message we preach and the way things are going makes people rather move away from Christ than rather come to Christ.”

He also announced that the movement will be planning visits to universities nationwide in connection with the academic calendar of the schools.

The Kharis Movement’s visit will be quarterly starting with the Legon campus in February.
