Ho, Oct. 19, GNA – Mr Ferg Afedo, the Parent Teacher
Association (PTA) Chairman of OLA Girls Senior High School in Ho, has assured
parents of the safety of their wards in the School, following rumours that
lesbianism was rife among the students.

He said School authorities kept “eagle eye” on
activities of students even in dormitories and described as untrue reports of
such acts.

Mr Apedo told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in
an interview that it was also not true that some parents were taking their
wards out of the school, saying, “We are aware of the Catholic discipline in
OLA and can’t be moved by such reports”.

He said apart from supervision by the School
authorities, parents also monitored their wards anytime they visited them or
during vacations and were happy about the moral training they were receiving in
School.

Madam Regina Coffie, Headmistress of the
School who also debunked the reports, said nothing of such had happened and
that there were regular roll calls of students, saying all 2,367 students used
their individual beds.

She reassured parents of the high moral
standards of the School based on Catholic discipline.
