Ngresi (C/R), Oct. 03, GNA – Fire gutted a
twelve bedroom apartment at Ngresi, a suburb of Darmang, the Capital of the
Assin South District of the Central Region on Tuesday afternoon.
No casualty was recorded, although property
worth thousands of Cedis was destroyed.

Ngresi (C/R), Oct. 03, GNA – Fire gutted a
twelve bedroom apartment at Ngresi, a suburb of Darmang, the Capital of the
Assin South District of the Central Region on Tuesday afternoon.
No casualty was recorded, although property
worth thousands of Cedis was destroyed.
It was noted that Personnel of the Ghana
National Fire Service (GNFS) from Abura Dunkwa rushed to the scene to put out
the fire, immediately they were notified.
Some residents in the area attributed the
inferno to power fluctuations that had affected the area.
The GNFS has commenced investigations into the
cause of the fire.
The owner of the house, Abusuapayin Kwaku
Oppong who was out of town when the incident happened, later joined his family
to assess the damage caused to their property.
When GNA arrived at the scene many
sympathizers who thronged the place were seen sympathising with some tenants as
they counted their losses.
