Fijai (W/R), Oct. 2, GNA – The Western
Regional Office of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) is expanding its
existing clinic in order to offer emergency services to men and women of the
Service in the event of firefighting.

The project, expected to be completed within
two months has started off with a supply of 30 bags of cement, sand and gravels
donated by the management of C7 Logistics Company, who in addition gave a
second hand printer to facilitate the administrative work of the Service.

ACFO John Quao, the Regional Director of GNFS
said it was heart-warming to receive such a swift response from the company
after sending a request to them some weeks ago.

He said personnel sometimes needed care after firefighting
and it was prudent that the facility was established to help give emergency
care before any referrals are made.

Mr Franck Nene Ahuma, the Chief Operating
Officer of the C7 company, said it was the responsibility of all Ghanaians to
contribute towards the development of the society and for the company the GNFS
was one such institution to support.

He said the company would support the service
throughout the construction stage and provide further assistance to fully set
up the facility.
