People who went to get food at a Waffle House were left traumatized by a clown who robbed them and shot one customer.
Police said that a man described as wearing an “angry clown mask” robbed several people at a Waffle House in Atlanta, Georgia.
Witnesses said that the suspect was in the store at 6:00 a.m. before he went to the bathroom and came out dressed in an angry clown mask.
Captain Andrew Senzer said that the masked man pulled out a gun and demanded that all the customers hand over their wallets and car keys.
The gunman then grabbed the cash register and left in a vehicle belonging to a customer.
When a man went to the window to get a better look at the suspect, he fired a shot into the store, hitting the victim in the neck.
The injured man was taken to a hospital, where he is recovering.
Police found the getaway car, which was abandoned. The suspect is still at large.
