Naked man breaks into home and chokes dog that was trying to protect family

A man was arrested after he choked a dog while it was trying to save a family from a burglar who was freed on bail for attacking a police officer 3 days before the incident.

The victim, Brenda Rines of New Hampshire, said that she has no idea why the suspect chose to enter her home.

Rines, who lives in a second-floor apartment, said that 28-year-old Irakoze Ildephonse removed his clothes, scaled a wall, and climbed onto her balcony.

He then broke a glass door and got into the home. Rines and her daughter fled from the apartment and waited in their car for police to arrive.

Meanwhile, their golden retriever tried to fight off the burglar. Ildephonse did not go down without a fight. According to police, he beat and choked the dog, causing injury to the family’s beloved pet.

When officers arrived, Ildephonse threw broken glass at them. It took several officers to restrain him.

Ildephonse is facing a number of charges, including burglary, animal cruelty, indecent exposure, criminal mischief, simple assault, and breach of bail.

He is being held on $15,000 cash bail.
