Ghanaians to face hard times – Ayariga

Founder and leader of All Peoples Congress, Dr. Hassan Ayariga has criticised the Akufo-Addo led government for poor performance since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) assumed office in January 2017,  leading to hardship in the country.

According to him, the government of the day is clueless when it comes to the management of the country, hence resulting in untold hardship on the good people of Ghana.

He made this revelation during a press conference he held on Friday, 1 June 2018 on issues of corruption and a year assessment of the performance of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) government.

“Fellow Ghanaians, please, please, brace yourselves for very difficult and hard times ahead because President Nana Addo is not working for Ghana but for his family and NPP. Nana is not in control of the government but people have taken over the nation trying to sort themselves out,” he said.

He also took a quick swipe at the famous 1.2 billion dollars award of the National Identification System project contract by the National Identification Authority, which he question the government over such huge sum of money, describing it as looting of the state.

“1.2 billion dollars for Ghana card for 27million citizen. How did we get here? Mr. President is this how you are protecting the public purse? India recently did a similar registration of their 1.3billion citizen with only 1.2b dollars so how come it’s costing Ghana the same amount for our 27million citizens”, He questioned.
