Essilfie-Kumi pulls out; joins Nana B’s camp

Bright Essilfie-Kumi, National Youth Organizer aspirant who pulled out from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) race has joined the camp of Nana Boakye, one of the key contenders for the slot in the intra-party race.

Bright strongly believes his partnership with Nana Boakye popularly known as ‘Nana B’ will propel the party’s youth wing to a new height.

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM Mr. Essilfie-Kumi said upon his own analysis, Nana B stands out as the excellent aspirant among the three others, hence his late decision.

“The dynamics of the National Youth Organizer office has changed; its about creating myriads of opportunities for the youth and not necessarily mobilizing them for political movement anymore. A lot of things come into play now; in the past it was more of whipping up the enthusiasm of the youth, but now you need to add an opportunity to it. And it’s my conviction that if I relinquish that bid and rather partner Nana B,  it’ll go a long way to help my course and serve the party well. Fortunately Nana B’s plans and programmes ties in with mine and also result-oriented which will create more opportunity for the youth as well as help us get a formidable front to sustain power in 2020 polls.” he told host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Thursday.

The duo will be addressing a Press Conference later to speak on the move ahead of the race scheduled for July, 2018.
