Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA)
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is to launch a new strategy to drive environmental cleanliness and restore Kumasi to its pride as the Garden City of West Africa.
The exercise is dubbed ‘Operation Keep the City Green and Clean’ and the education of the public against indiscriminate disposal of waste.
Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi, Osei Assibey Antwi disclosed this while addressing the media at Rotary park.
He said the move is to ensure that Kumasi regained its glory as the Garden City of West Africa and also restore order in the city.
He says one major challenge affecting the city currently has to do with bad sanitation.
He however appealed to the people of Kumasi to change their attitude towards sanitation and help make the City clean.
