The President said he is grateful to the reporters for communicating his messages and happenings at the Presidency to the citizenry.
“The tone has been respectful but it has also been distant and impartial,” he said.
The President who was sworn into office on January 7 this year added that he is happy the reports have not been all glorifying but critical as well.
“It is important that the people should get a proper filter of what I am trying to do and how I am trying to exercise my mandate. You have been helpful,” he noted.
According to President Akufo-Addo, it is for good reason that the media is an indispensable part of the government as they serve as the mirror of society.
“You have a big responsibility to tell the truth, you have your own angles and believes but the least is to present the basic facts for people to make up their minds as to how things are going,” he stressed.
