The Ghana National Herbal Awards which is being organised by Nyamedua Herbal, a Non-Governmental Organization will provide the platform to improve Ghanaian herbal products, create awareness, loyalty, recognition and prestige as well as entertain patrons with top Musicians like Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, Kofi Nti, Gospel musician Ernest Opoku, Mary Agyemang etc.
A statement issued by Mr. Nyedua, the Ashanti Regional Director of Traditional Medicine Practice Council said the event would promote locally made products to consumers and facilitate the discovery of new and interesting products.
“We know that in Ghana the condition for startups is not conducive but there are people who defy all odds and we think it’s time we recognize and reward these people. Setting up a business has never been easy but we need to encourage the youth to go into entrepreneurship. It’s about time Ghana also sits up to appreciate our products.”
He also called on other agencies and the ministries to support such initiatives so as to encourage more people.
The awards is about seeking Ghana made products and exposing them to Ghanaians across the country in an effort to market the goods and strengthening the economy.
Specific products that are adjudged by the consuming public as embodying the highest standards of quality will receive the Best Product Awards.
