The Ghana U-17 female team Black Maidens, are a step away to qualify for the 2018 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Women’s U-17 World Cup slated for Uruguay from 13th November to 1st December 2018.

The maidens, who beat their Gambian counterparts by 2-0 at the Cape Coast stadium have advanced to the final stage of the qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Suzzy Dede Teye and Mukarama Abdulai scored for Ghana to see the national junior female side complete a 7-1 aggregate win over their Gambian counterparts.

Coach Evans Adotey’s side left it late to grab a win as Dede Teye scored the opener in the 85th minute, with Mukarama Abdulai sealing the day for the junior female side in the 92nd minute as the first half ended in a goalless draw.

Ghana is to make the last hurdle to Uruguay if they are able to win against Djibouti, who they play in the final stage of the qualifiers with the Black Maidens set to travel for the first leg between February 2-4 and the return encounter set for February 16-18.
