GTA presented a cheque for the sponsorship of two category of awards
The Ghana Tourism Authority(GTA) has pledged its support to the growth of media development in the Country and to promote healthy journalistic practice.
The Authority this afternoon presented a cheque for the sponsorship of two category of Awards – Tourism Reporting and Culture and Arts reporting at a short interaction at the Ghana International Press Center.
According to the CEO of the Authority, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, the media has a key role to play in promoting tourism, destination marketing and highlighting issues that affect the sector. ” Our efforts at growing Ghana’s Tourism Industry will not yield any fruits without the active support and partnership of the media. Partnering with GJA on these awards that seek to promote media excellence is therefore a no brainer ” , Mr. Agyeman stated.
The President of the GJA, Dr. Affail Monney thanked GTA for the gesture and says the Association looks forward to deepening the relationship.
