Judging from the reaction President Akufo-Addo received on Sunday at the Heroes Park in Kumasi, it would be reasonable to say the president has 100 percent backing of his party executives.
About 5,000 of people clapped, cheered and jumped to their feet numerous times for the sitting president.
Dressed in his white shirt with the NPP logo emboldened on it, the president beaming with smiles, responded to the reception with handshakes.
NPP held an extraordinary national delegates conference to consider various proposed amendments to the party’s Constitution.
The event is a follow up to the Annual National Delegates Conference at Cape Coast in August this year, at which various proposals were made for amendments to the party’s constitution.
Over 5,000 delegates including founding fathers and patrons of the party, Members of Parliament on the party’s ticket, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives, and national officers of the party were present for the conference.
