Sylva Spare Plus (SSP) importers of Renault Trucks in Ghana, has held its maiden edition of the Renault Trucks Ghana Awards to reward transporter companies who have had a positive impact on the brand.

The event, which was in partnership with the France-based Company Renault Trucks, was held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast city on December 13, 2017.

With a yearly importation of 60 heavy-duty trucks and 15 years of operations in Ghana, Managing Director of SSP, Mathieu Castre, said the awards ceremony was a way of acknowledging companies in Ghana who for years continue to patronise Renault Trucks’ heavy-duty vehicles.

“There is no question of money. It’s more about elements of reputation. We want to highlight that they (nominee companies) are really efficient on certain matters. It’s more of recognition from a big truck maker. It’s based on the organization of the company which includes maintenance, customer care, hard work, adherence to road safety rules and long-term partnership,” he told journalists Wednesday night at the awards ceremony.

The awards scheme, he stated will be an annual event. Some of the companies that were awarded are wards are Bash Freight, Golden Exotic Ltd (GEL), Ghana Rubber Products Limited, among others.
