Learning how to use computers in rural schools can be challenging.

Although it is an examinable subject in the Basic Education Certificate Examination, pupils in most rural communities do not have a practical feel of computers, making the study and understanding of ICT very difficult.

Teachers make do with blackboards and their textbooks to teach a very technical subject, and one may wonder how much they can get right without the needed equipment.

JoyNews’ Joojo Cobbinah visited a typical rural school in Kpandai in the Northern region and reports, reliance on the creativity of a teacher could sometimes be disastrous.
