Keche is currently promoting their new song titled ‘Next Level’
Ghanaian gospel musicians fight each other more than secular artistes but they do not bring it on social media, hence the public does not get to hear about such tiffs, hiplife group, Keche, has said.
According to the group, ‘beefing’ is not limited to only hiplife and dancehall artistes.
Speaking in an interview on Entertainment Capital with Bismark Boachie (DJ Premier), on Accra100.5FM on Saturday, 9 December 2017, Keche said: “Hiplife musicians are not one, we fight here and there, but I’m telling you the truth, they [gospel musicians] fight but don’t bring it on social media, gospel musicians fight a lot, they do crazy things behind the scenes, a lot of backbiting here and there but they don’t put it out on social media.”
The ‘aluguntugui’ hit makers further advised gospel musicians to produce quality music videos and stop shooting cheap videos standing by flowers and trees, which, in their view, do not help promote their brand and songs internationally.
Andrew, a member of the group, said: “They [gospel musicians] are not going far because of their poor music videos. They are always standing by flowers and trees for videos…
“Big artistes like VVIP and Keche are spending GHS20,000 or GHS30,000, to shoot videos because videos are winning awards as well, videos are fetching shows, it’s another medium of promoting songs, it goes far and it sells your image as well for somebody to easily identify you, for someone to even use you for a billboard advertisement and more. So, when you use about GHS800 and stand by flowers and trees, I don’t really get it”.
The group is currently promoting a new song titled ‘Next Level’ and hopes it takes over the airwaves.
