Dancehall artiste Samini says he has always been a threat to his arch-rival, self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale.

He told Andy Dosty in an interview on Hitz FM’s morning show ‘Daybreak Hitz’ that Shatta Wale sabotaged his performance causing him a ‘no show’ at the S-Concert.

He revealed this in response to a question relating to happenings over the weekend at the S-Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Samini was billed to perform before Shatta Wale but the ‘Mahama Paper’ hitmaker forcibly entered the stage before him and spent over two hours on stage performing.

This pushed the timing of the other acts back into the early morning when most of the patrons have left the stadium. As a result, the rest of the acts couldn’t perform.

“Right after the event at 5 am, Shatta Wale already had a Facebook post about the fact that I didn’t perform at the concert.

“If he did not have any interest in doing anything possible to stop me from performing that night, he would not find it necessary to have a post about me not been able to perform” he observed.

He added that “I’ve been a threat to him since 2006. He has been throwing shots at me, doing songs to insult me and fabricating stories against me.

People still think I sabotaged him at the Movado concert some years back.”

Meanwhile, Samini has apologised to his fans and explained why he was not able to perform in a Facebook post.

“I don’t normally complain like this but guess what, this is getting out of hand. I’m sorry to the fans who came out to the stadium to see me but I’m not doing the show and I’ve left the stadium. we have to stick to, we have to make sure organizers communicate right with the artiste. you don’t keep me backstage almost four hours and have me wait for people to take turns on stage while I still sit backstage without knowing what to do.”

However, some of the biggest acts in the country, Stonebwoy and Lil Win performed to a capacity crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Other A-list artistes who were unable to perform included Ebony and Mr Eazi.
