Fifty-year-old Mr Philip Kweku Agyeman from Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region was Friday crowned as the National Best Farmer for 2017.

Mr Agyeman took home a $100,000 cash prize to invest in agribusiness instead of the usual three-bedroom house from the ADB Bank.

Mr Agyeman has been farming for 28 years and oversees the running of Awurade Na Ay? Farms with a workforce of 205 people.

He was followed up by Madam Mabel Ann Akoto Cudjoe from the Hohoe Municipality in the Volta Region and Madam Rebecca Commey from the Ga South Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.
