Ghana’s Stonebwoy, for his contribution on top Jamaican band Morgan Heritage’s ‘Avrakedabra’ album, has become the second Ghanaian artiste after Rocky Dawuni (2016) to be named for Grammy glory.

The song on which he appears ‘Reggae Night (GlobalRemix), was released on May 19, 2017, and also features Bunji Garlin, Timaya, Stylo G, Rock, DreZion & Jaheim.

“Avrakadabra” is up for ‘Best Reggae Album’ in the 2018 Grammy Awards, alongside ‘Chronology’ by Chronixx, ‘Lost In Paradise’ by Common Kings, ‘Wash House Ting’ by J Boog, and ‘Stony Hill’ by Damian Marley.

Stonebwoy joined the band on tour in 2015, and is spoken highly of by them.

The “Enku Lenu” man joins other global reggae stars as Gentleman, Ziggy Marley, Inner Circle, Tarrus Riley, Chris Martin, Jahmiel, Charly Black among others for next year’s edition of the Summer Jam festival slated for July 6th – July 8th.

Winner of several awards including VGMA Artist of the Year and BET Best International Act: Africa (both in 2015), Stonebwoy is CEO of the BMG imprint (home to budding singer Kevin Boy), and is franchise act for ZYLOFON Music.

His fourth project — a double CD titled “Epistles of Mama” (EOM), will be outdoored on December 12 this year.
