Albert Adomah FallAlbert Adomah bagged a brace against Ipswich

Ghanaian player Albert Adomah has been hailed by teammate Jack Grealish following his impressive performance that earned Aston Villa a victory at home to Ipswich.

Adomah’s brace against the Tractor Boys took his tally for the week to five goals as Villa notched up their third win in seven days.

Grealish, who came on as a late substitute, took to Twitter and said: “Great week for us with another brilliant win, great support once again. Albert once again *clap emoji*.”

Ipswich had a goal ruled out for offside before Adomah opened the scoring from close range on 36 minutes.

Mick McCarthy’s side continued to threaten in the second half before Robert Snodgrass picked out Adomah for the home side’s second goal to kill the game.

Villa boss Steve Bruce was singing the winger’s praises at the final whistle.

“Albert has worked hard and got his reward from working on the left,” he said. “He looks so comfortable coming in on his right foot and running across the line.

“He is a big threat and he has now scored 11 goals (in all competitions), which is a wonderful return and long may it continue.

“There is no reason why he cannot set his sights to go and get another 10 in this part of the season.”
