Moro SweatMoro (R) has been a major target for the Porcupine Warriors

Asante Kotoko are inches away from securing the signature of enterprising Bolga All Stars left back Moro Ibrahim after healthy negotiations with the player’s manager.

The Black Stars B left back has been a major target for the Porcupine Warriors who are looking to augment their squad for the upcoming season.

The Reds will be defending their FA Cup title while they take a huge step towards the CAF Confederation Cup trophy as well as the Ghana Premier League trophy, all in the coming season, necessitating their quest for excellent players.

Moro who is seen as one of the few talented left backs in the just ended Ghana Premier League season has been a major target of the Kumasi-based side even before the league ended.

The player’s manager Anas Thunder had initially refused to sell the player outright to Asante Kotoko, opting for a free loan for the youngster.

The manager of the player Anas Thunder had admitted that there has been an official approach from Kotoko for the service of his player for the coming season but he was only interested in releasing the player on loan to the Porcupine Warriors – an option Kotoko were not interested in.

The player’s manager is quoted to have told Obuasi-based time FM that …“I am not ready to sell the player permanently to Kotoko but if they can agree on a loan deal then why not since they are our first option on the negotiations table for now.”

But GHANAsoccernet has gathered that there has been an amicable agreement between Asante Kotoko and the player’s manager who is now ready to release the youngster to commence his football expedition with The Reds.

Kotoko are set to complete personal terms with the player in the coming weeks and formalize the deal with the player whose manager has now agreed for him to move on an outright deal.

Moro who is also on the radar of newly promoted Premier League side Karela FC has attracted interests from clubs in South Africa and Belgium following his brilliant outing in the Premier League in the just-ended season.
