Black Meteors Eric Ofori AntwiEric Ofori Antwi is eyeing a move to Hearts of Oak

Medeama SC goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi, says playing for Accra Hearts of Oak would be a dream move as he looks to relaunch his career with the Phobians.

Antwi believes it is time for him to move out of the Tarkwa T&A Park but noted that he could stay with Medeama should the move fail to materialise.

“Playing for Hearts of Oak will be a dream move for me but my club will be handling it,” Antwi told the Graphic Sports yesterday.

“I will prefer to move but I still have a contract with them (Medeama) so I will stay if the deal fails to go through as expected,” he added.

Antwi has been linked with a move to Hearts, with the 23-year-old expressing his desire to join the Phobians as he seeks to revive his dwindling career.

After excelling at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey, Antwi was tipped for greatness but his career took a nosedive after he joined Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

His move to Kotoko was blighted by recurring injuries and thus failed to make a significant impact with the Porcupine Warriors, leading to his decision to join Medeama last January.

When asked whether his move to Kotoko was a poor decision Antwi replied in the negative and stated that things didn’t just work out as expected.

“I wouldn’t say I took the wrong decision to move to Kotoko just because things didn’t work out as planned. It was a life lesson but I hope to come back stronger,” he said.
