The rapid rate at which technology is taking over the world is increasing creativity in the minds of most young Ghanaians in the country now.

One of such young men is Horla Manuvor  a young man  who identifies himself as a story teller by introducing a web series on “What’s Up”.

“What’s Up” is a web series that tells the story of three young gentlemen Abu Amoako, Kweku Dawe, Chris Agboka and their adventure as students on a self-discovery journey, exploring their curiosity about the opposite sex and the scope of their talents.

The series is created with the intention of educating young people and  has an appeal to tertiary level students since it tackles subjects they can relate to.

The web series has seen two successful seasons completed and is ready to release the third season. At the other side of the court, the first season happened to have shorter episodes and seemed to suffer a few technical shortcomings. But as it’s progressed, it is evident in the current episodes that the filmmakers involved are growing with the series.

More is expected looking at how far the project has come. It has been able to feature legendary actors like Adjetey Annan (Pusher), Paulina Oduro and has more outstanding actors in the third season.

It is a rather healthy development for the Ghanaian film world since these young filmmakers are up and pushing on their toes rather than sitting back and dreaming. Horla Manuvor and his crew have gained a very huge following on their YouTube channel, ‘What’s up Online.’

This is as a result of hard work and persistence and these young artists could do with some support in order to reach their peak. It is also refreshing to know that most of the crew and cast are students, yet to fully step into the industry.

Filmmaking, a strong tool that is used to effect a great deal of social change could also be seen to be a definitive tool. If filmmakers use it to effect positive change, it goes a long way to define the region the film comes from.

This is to say that, the kind of films we produce as a people create an impression of who we are. So, when we tell stories, we do not tell them for ourselves alone but for the nation as a whole.
