Ghana premier league side, Medeama Sporting Club, is likely to lose in-form right back, Amos Korankye, to Tanzanian club Simba FC.

Though the player has said he does not intend to extend his contract with the Tarkwa-based team, he revealed managers of the Club are willing to extend his contract, which is left with eight months to end.

Reports say Korankye had been monitored by the Tanzanian side for the past two seasons and have been satisfied with the performances of the player, and likely sign a deal with him for next season.

He said officials of Medeama have proposed some lucrative terms but noted he is simply not ready to accept and extend his contract.

“I’m left with eight months and I’m willing to go if my contract comes to an end. But for now, I have a contract with them and I’m simply not ready for any extension,” he said in an SMS told Connect FM.

The former Sekondi Hasaacas defender said Simba FC have been in touch with him but a decision is yet to be made, stating he would discuss it with his family before making any decision.

“For now, I need to discuss with my family and would soon tell you. I had been in touch with the Simba agents for some months now,” he said.

Amos Korankye had 11 appearances as a starter and six as a substitute for the Tarkwa-based team with a goal and 7 assists as a defender in last season of the Ghana Premier League.

He helped in the team’s 2016 CAF Confederation campaign reaching the last stage to the money zone
