Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and Nigerian musician, Wizkid feud has got many entertainment industry players adding their voices.

The latest to share his opinion about the trending lyrical war between the two music stars is the legendary producer and leader of the Last Two music label, Da’ Hammer.

Hammer real named Edward Nana Poku Osei took a stand to support what the award winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale said in his interview with Kasapa Fm’s Gattuso when he was asked if he is making money from his music career in Ghana and beyond.

Known for nurturing and producing some of the biggest music talents in Ghana, Ghanaian beat producer said Wale’s comments about Wizkid was misconstrued by the writer.

Transcribing the exact words of the dancehall musician from the audio published by Kasapafmonline.com, Hammer emphatically stated that Shatta Wale said nothing in disrespect to the Starbwoy Wizzy.

According to him, it is a classic case of not being star struck by someone’s art or hustle and it is certainly no crime.

Hammer therefore cautioned followers of the two artistes to stop inciting rivalry between Ghanaians and Nigerians.

He posted on his Facebook Timeline to express his opinion about the two multiple award winners;

So I just made time to peruse this controversy thoroughly from its inception and realized the starbwoy Wale said nothing in disrespect to the starbwoy wizzy to begin with. Whoever broke the story first is the one blame here.

My take on this is perspective.
Shatta said “Me I no dey see wizkid superstar oo”. Story quoted him as saying “wizkid is not a super star”. Now why wld u wanna do tht…

50cent probably doesn’t necessarily see lil Wayne as a super star cos he probably believes he’s his equal but from where I sit, I do think Wayne is a super star from my perspective. I guarantee u many of Nigerian celebrities don’t even see our Sark as a super star.
This isn’t even about supporting ur own. It’s just a classic case of not being star struck by someone’s art or hustle, and that’s no crime.
There u have it.. superstardom is not absolute.. it’s relative.
There’s no problem here.. stop inciting a rivalry between us and Nigerians. I respect the Shatta movement and their hustle. Salute #SM4lyf

Da’ Hammer is the architect behind most of our top stars in Ghana and his recommendation is really a big deal.

Shatta disclosed that he doesn’t see anything extraordinary about Wizkid, and does not understand why people hail him. This, he said was contrary to the popular notion most of his colleagues have about the artist.

“We are living a life where upcoming youths are watching people get surprised of my achievement because they don’t have mind to elevate themselves.

“I don’t see wizkid to be too much for me but most of my ghanaians and ghanaian colleagues see him like that.

“But i want wizkid to see me and be like wow not otherwise because what is talking is your pocket, property, investment.

“I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste.

He further called on Ghanaian artistes to start respecting themselves and stop rating Nigerian artistes high above them.
