Ghanaian actor based in Kumasi, Kwaku Manu has expressed disgust over a weird reaction by parents who have withdrawn their wards from his school, Kweku Manu Educational Complex’.
The actor who was shocked about rumours that he used money from the school’s coffers to fly his family abroad for holidays said his school is gradually collapsing because of the gossips.
According to him, the school is currently running in deficit because parents are owing fees.
“Would you believe that all the people living around whose kids attend my school have removed their wards from the school because I flew my family to the US.?— Thinking I used the school’s money to fund my travel. But will you also believe, the school is even indebted to me? I used my own money (GHC10,000) to repair their bus before I travelled. Meanwhile, though a lot of the parents were owing the school, they were even allowed to move to the next term regardless.”
He continued that, some people are stationed just close to his schools’ premises to ill-advice those who want to enrol their kids in his school.
Speaking on Angel Fm, Kwaku Manu disclosed that he has started another branch in Takoradi but due to the attitude of haters, he will rescind his decision to use it as an apartment for rent.
