The technical committee of the Betway Talent Search initiative has announced the final 18 players selected for camping.
The selection by the team which is led by Ex-Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah comes on the back of a comprehensive tryouts sessions held in Takoradi , Koforidua, Kumasi and Accra.
The 18-man squad which is expected to resume camping on August 21 is made up of seven players from the Eastern Region, five from the Ashanti Region , three from the Western Region and three from the Greater Accra Region.
The players aged between 18-25 will have the opportunity to impress the coaching team with their skills and abilities with to the aim secure professional contract.
The selected players are Frank Asamoah Antwi, Frank Amankwah, Christian Oduro, Anthony Antwi, Agyemang, Isaac Opoku, Alexander Yakohene, Derick Yeboah Nortey, Prince Arthur, Daniel Waliba, Mohammed Sulemanna, Simon Arthur and Munkala Ahmed.
The rest are Obed Appiah, Richard Agyemang, Nathaniel Laryea, Douglas Amaning, Sulley Wahabu and Prince Boateng.
The Betway Talent search, aside offering footballers the opportunity to showcase their skills to the coaching team, the Talent Search also offers players the opportunity to play before a number of football agents and scouts.
The Betway Talent Search has former Black Stars captain and the Technical Coordinator for the national football team, Stephen Appiah, as its icon. Other members of the scouting team include Maxwell Konadu, Eric Antwi Ofori, Coach Eben, Ben Adjei, Twumasi Forkuoh, Prince Odei and Godfried Aduobe.
