Sensational Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Thomas Abbey says he finds his inspiration in former team mate Mahatma Otoo.
Mahatma Otoo was the last Accra Hearts of Oak player to win the goal king and has since left to ply his trade in Europe and currently plays in Turkey for Umranyispor.
Otoo, was also captain of the club in his day at the rainbow club, Thomas Abbey indicated, his form in the Ghana Premier League has been because he wants to follow the footsteps of his former mate.
“My main source of motivation has been Mahatma Otoo. I want to emulate his feat as a player and that has been my story line as a player. Hopefully, I will follow his feat of even better it”, he said in an interview.
Thomas Abbey is the Ghana Premier League top scorer with 12 goals and four assists. Arguably the best player this season having won a couple of man of the match awards and is a nominee for the July player of the month.
