“AshGold NA – Charles Kwabla Akunnor, head Coach of Ashantigold Football Club has attributed his side’s victory over WAFA to sheer determination.
Ashantigold recorded a 2-0 victory over WAFA in an outstanding premier league fixture last Sunday.
In a post-match interview with the press, Coach Akunnor said his charges were poised for a victory over WAFA because of their bad results in their last two games.
He said he was aware of the quality of his opponents but he was not ready to suffer another defeat at home.
“I am happy that we won today, we knew that this game was going to be difficult because we lost are two previous games. There was pressure on us to win against a very good side and we were aware of the strength of our opponents
“My players were ready and determined to win the game and they were disciplined and focused throughout the entire game.
“This is a team effort and I am very happy with the way and manner we performed. We did a good job tactically and forced them to play our game, which we dictated”.
