A member of the Communication team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and an Aide to the second lady of the Republic, Vincent Ekow Assafuah has revealed that, if there is any qualification or requirement for Free SHS, that will be to bath and move to your classrooms.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s political show, Kukurantumi, Saturday, he bemoaned the pessimistic posture of the NDC as far as the Free SHS is concerned.
He stated that, when the NPP during the Kuffour Era decided to introduce NHIS, the same NDC expressed disbelief of the commitment of the NPP government to roll out the program.
Ekow Assafuah added that, even though the NPP is not a socialist party, they can boast of almost all the social intervention program in this country and this happened under Busia and Kuffour.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has given assurance that the Akufo-Addo government will not be distracted in its determination to ensure the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School policy come September this year.
