Ghana international forward Bernard Tekpetey’s first half strike was enough to seal victory for FC Schalke in their preseason game against Azerbaijani side Neftchi Baku.
The 19-year old forward who has struggled for game time since joining the German giants capped off a fantastic team move, showing great composure to slot in the only goal of the game in the 27th minute.
Tekpetey made just 3 appearances for the Royal Blues last season and will be hoping to stake a claim for more first team appearances this season.
He signed for Schalke in February 2016 from Ghanaian second-tier side Unistar Soccer Academy after a successful trial with the German side.
He was part of the Black Stars squad that finished 4th in this year’s AFCON in Gabon.
