Head Coach of league leaders Aduana Stars, Yusif Abubakar, has thrown out a challenge to his players telling them to take charge of their title challenge in the Ghana Premier League.

The Dormaa based had their goalkeeper Joseph Addo to thank as they were held to a goalless draw at rivals Medeama over the weekend and blew the chance to stretch the lead over title rivals WAFA.

Abubakar wants his players to remain focused, and seize control of the remaining games of the season to ensure they end the season as champions. “At this stage it all goes down to the mental toughness of the boys. I have warned them that when it gets to this level so many things have to be done by the players,” he said.

“As coaches we have very little to do because we have done it up to this level. So for the remaining matches the players must look at their position and decide how they want to finish the season.”

Aduana lead the league standings with one point having played a game more than closest rivals WAFA.
