Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Pius Hadzide has stated that Sports has the potentials to create a lot of jobs for the youth.
According to Mr. Hadzide, Sports can be used to prevent crime and also to create wealth.
“We see sports as a tool for wealth creation and for healthy living,” he told the media.
‘We see sports as a tool for crime prevention, so I encouraged that sports is an industry that has the potential to create jobs for the youth of Ghana.”
He continued: “For we to do that we all have to put hands on deck to make sure that we revolutionise sports in this country and turned it into a modern day industry but it will require huge infrastructure investment, it will require massive training in manpower and technical direction. So we are looking forward to establishing national sports policy.
The deputy Sports Minister concluded saying: “We do believe that sports can be made an industry that is capable of employing a large number of Ghanaians.”
