An IT professional, Kwasi Boakye Akyeampong says customers are the most important in the new digital environment and businesses cannot just come out with products and expect their customers to adopt them.

Boakye Akyeampong who was speaking at Today Newspaper’s 4th Annual Lecture said businesses rather need to consider the needs and wants of their customers before they launch any new product.

Speaking on the topic ‘Using technology to extend economic opportunities and key services to millions of people’, he said businesses and even government need to understand that people now use mobile phones and want to transact business from their phones, as such technology must be put to use to ensure that happens.

He said adopting digital technology can help eliminate counterfeit money and other fraudulent activities.
