The Division League Board of the Ghana Football Association has said it will launch a formal investigation into an incident in a game involving Sporting Mirren and Vision FC last week.
Social media was awash with images of a fourth referee of the game using a wooden slab as a make-do substitution board instead of an electronic changer.
Many football fans have strongly criticized the action and called on authorities to look into the unfortunate event.
According to the chairman of the Division One League, Owoahene Acheampong, the body will launch a formal investigation into the incident.
“TI have also seen the images on social media and I cannot readily conclude on the incident”, he said speaking on Atinka TV Sports Court show.
“We will begin an official investigation into the incident and invite the referess involved to tell us what actually transpired”.
