A health walk organised by staff of De Youngster’s International School to mark Republic Day ended successfully at the school’s Adenta compound last Saturday.

Members of staff of the five branches of the school covered the Ayi Mensah-Peduase Lodge route of the Aburi road before engaging in fun games such as sack race, peace pull, playing cards, Oware, ludo, draft, scrabble and monopoly.

Adenta beat the combined team of RRC, Annex, Kokomlemle and Kotababi 3-0 in a football match which climaxed the games in an entertaining encounter, while the mixed volleyball match saw the former defeating the latter.

In the women’s peace pull event, the combined team beat Adenta, while the latter’s men defeated the former’s men’s team.

In his closing speech, the Director-General of the school, Mr A. K. De Youngster, congratulated the staff and organisers for the success of the programme and announced that the games would be instituted as a termly event.

He called for the need to excercise, which he said was one of the ways of keeping fit.

The Director-General added that there was the need for his staff to remain active, which he said would enhance productivity in their various work places.
