The Senior national team of Ghana has been denied the services of another star player in Derrick Jones with the youngster committing his international future to the USA. The 20 year old has reportedly been cleared to feature for the North Americans despite featuring for the U15 side of Ghana.
Jones, 20, currently plays for the reserves side of Philadelphia Union but has so far enjoyed some MLS football after a brilliant personal season. The lanky Ghanaian, born in Bantama in the Ashanti region, moved to the US at the tender age of 14 and has since develops in leaps.
The ambidextrous attacker, who was handed his MLS debut by Jim Coutains against Vancouver White Caps, spent the formative stages of his life in the Ashanti region before joining the exodus train in 2011 to the US in search of greener pastures.
