A member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, Hopeson Adorye has pulled out of the National Organizer race of the party.

His decision, he explained comes after current Youth Organizer, Samuel Awuku also declared his intention to contest the same position.

Mr. Adorye who has been eyeing that position for years revealed his decision to pull out will be a big blow to many but “I believe God’s time is the best”.

The outspoken NPP man and a former constituency secretary of the NPP in the Kpone Katamanso constituency lost the position to John Boadu when they both contest then incumbent, Alhaji Moctar Musa Bamba on March 1, 2014 at the party’s delegates’ conference.

He then decided to contest the position again after Mr. Boadu decided to vie for the General Secretary slot.

But his dream was shattered when the current National Youth Organizer, Sammy Awuku also declared his intention to contest the position.

Considering his sterling performance as the youth commander of the NPP in the 2016 eletions, Mr. Awuku stands a good chance of winning the slot hence Hopson’s decision to pull out.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, June 20, 2017, a low-spirited Hopeson Adorye said his decision to thrown in the towel is in the interest of the party.

“I have decided to step down and throw in support for Sammy Awuku in the interest of the NPP. There is no need for any internal struggle which might affect the unity of the party” he stated.

However, Hopeson indicated that, he will not accept any deputy National Organizer position role based on principle but will continue to work assiduously to ensure the NPP and President Akufo-Addo remains in power.

He also called on his supporters not to lose hope because “when I’m even 100 years, I will be the National Organizer of the NPP.
