The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars, Albert Commey, has charged his players to improve upon their conversion rate and also have the killer instinct against top sides in the second round of the Premier League to enhance their challenge for the title.

Mr Commey explained that Aduana Stars need to be lethal in their finishing if they are to end their seven-year wait for the Premier League, which he said, could be done with the players remaining focused.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Mr Commey said, “we need to have a killer instinct and take our chances against the top sides in the second round to be able to challenge for the title”.

“This is not to say the team must underrate the other clubs, but the courage to take on the best teams in the league will guarantee us the title and I urge the team to be lethal in their finishing,” he added.

The Dormaa-based club ended the first round of the league in second place, behind high-flying WAFA who have 30 points, and need to work harder in the second round to stand a chance of being crowned champions.

The 200… champions have been in contention for the league title since the commencement of this season’s league and are currently unbeaten in their last six games in the top flight.

Mr Commey described the club’s first round performance as “splendid” but called for an improvement when the league resumes.
