Highflying  Accra Hearts of Oak will today ambush league leaders  West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) for a showdown in their Week 14 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The high-profile game is expected to attract a large crowd considering the recent performance of both clubs in the Ghana Premier League, and also determined to maintain their impressive runs.

While WAFA are holding on tight at the summit with 29 points, Hearts are  fourth with 20 points and a win for them wthe Phobians them to third place.

Ahead of the encounter, Hearts’ enterprising midfielder, Winful Kwaku Cobbinah, says his side is ready to add their opponents to their list of victims, and  the fans to attend in their numbers.

Hearts have played five games in a row without a loss, and have defeated their bitterest rivals, Kumsai Asante Kotoko, twice this year, in their Week Eight league fixture and an emphatic 3-1 win at the [email protected] Independence clash.

On the other hand, WAFA have been very impressive this season, winning all their last six games and losing just two away matches, a performance which has propelled them to the summit.

He said: “People say WAFA are dangerous but we are more dangerous. We are going into this game with a winning mentality. We are the team to beat currently. We have played five matches without a loss so far and we are playing at home so there is no way that we will watch WAFA take the points”.

According to the 25-year-old midfield star, his three-year stint at Saudi Arabia’s Najran SC has impacted positively on his career and he has promised to help Hearts make the best impression this season.

Since he returned to the local scene last February, Cobbina has dazzled in his last five appearances in the league, scoring a goal and hitting three assists, which won him three Man of The Match awards.
