The Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Mr Sam Nartey George, has accused the former Attorney General (AG) and Minister of Justice, Mr Martin Amidu of partisanship and hypocrisy after he praised the Senior State Attorney for dropping charges against the Delta Force 8.

Mr Amidu in an article titled: THE LEGAL ADVICE ON THE 8 ALLEGED DELTA FORCE MEMBERS IS UNASSAILABLE, said the Senior State Attorney was “exceptional in the manner it states the facts of the case and the evidence as disclosed upon the perusal of the police docket, and the legal opinion based on the facts and evidence on the docket.”

However, Mr George insists that he has lost the moral high ground to comment about such issues after his silence during recent political scandals.

“Mr Citizen Vigilante, your moral high horse has bolted months ago,” the Ningo-Prampram MP said in a post on Facebook.

According to Mr George, the “self-acclaimed” Citizen Vigilante has awoken but can no longer claim to be “seeking what is just, right and honest,” after his silence on many scandalous issues involving the New Patriotic Party.

“Your claim of seeking what is just, right and honest is lame. Your considerations Sir are partisan to say the least. I only wish you would have risen beyond partisanship and hypocrisy but alas, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride”.

He also went ahead to list the scandals including, the assault on ASP Nanka Bruce in the precints of the Presidential Villa and the attack on a presiding judge by “party hoodlums” in Kumasi which he said Mr Amidu has been silent on.
