D-Amphora Wine & Liquor last Wednesday night launched Luc Belaire Rare Rosé wine in Ghana at the Kempinski Hotel and announced rapper D Black as its brand ambassador.

The Belaire Rosé is a French sparkling wine produced in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of the South of France. Officially labelled ‘Luc Belaire Rare Rosé’, the wine is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault grapes typically used in the production of Provencal rosé wines.

The brand is owned by the New York-based company Sovereign Brands and its packaging is noteworthy for its opaque black bottles. Hip-hop artistes, including Rick Ross and DJ Khaled, have been linked to the brand. The brand’s range also includes a Brut and Luxe, a demi-sec sparkling wine.

The Wednesday launch in Ghana was attended by Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, Deputy Minister  for Trade and Industry, rapper D-Black, Nollywood actor Uti Nwachukwu, David Adamson who is the regional brand ambassador for Africa, Europe and Asia, rapper Samera Buari who is also general manager at D-Amphora and a host of other personalities who endorsed the wine.

The CEO of D-Amphora, Makafui Brempong, revealed her company has fortified strategies to take over the Ghanaian market with Belaire.

Mr Ahenkorah congratulated D-Amphora for using Belaire to provide jobs for the youth. He also encouraged Makafui Brempong and her team to make the Belaire brand a household name in Ghana.

“The Ministry of Trade and Industry supports great initiatives. We believe in creativity and we think if people such as you can indulge in such businesses we will open our doors for any help that you would need from us. As part of strategic plans for this government, one of the things we want to develop is our domestic trade and of course this falls within,” he added.

D Black in his speech stated that Belaire has been the fastest selling brand at his club (Onyx) ever since it was opened in October last year. He also revealed his happiness to represent Belaire Ghana as its brand ambassador.

Uti Nwachukwu also endorsed the Belaire brand, encouraging Ghanaians to patronise it.

D-Amphora Wine & Liquor is currently the sole distributor of Belaire in Ghana. The Ghanaian company which is located at Trassaco Junction at East Legon, Accra, has been in business since 2015 and is now one of the market leaders.
