The principal of Kpembe Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the East Gonja District of the Northern Region Hajia Shirley Issah has admonished students of the school to work hard to achieve more academic excellence as done by their predecessors.

Hajia Shirley made these remarks when she addressed students of the school at the durbar of the 7th annual SRC/ GMTA week celebration of the school. She said the past students of the school have given the school the best result a school will need to raise its status as their final result in the licensing exams is always fulfilling.

“You have to work hard to maintain the standard set by your predecessors to keep the name of the school going high. Your performance in the licensing exams will be a reward to you as individuals and to us as a school and so work hard to make us all proud “she added.

The president of the student body applauded the principal for her judicious use of the internally generated funds of the school to develop the school. He said with her quick response to her call to duty, the school has now become a centre of excellence in nursing and midwifery in the Region. He was however quick to lament on the water situation as a big challenge that authorities and stakeholders have to take up to reduce the burden students go through on campus.
