Host of Joy FM’s CIMG Award winning drive time programme, Lexis Bill spent time with the Integrated Community Centers for Employable Skills (ICCES) in Dodowa in Accra.

Born Kwame Sekyiamah, the nation’s favourite Drive Time host was the guest speaker for one of ICCES motivation sessions on Friday for the institution which is under the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations.

He took the over 100 students through his journey in radio dating back in 2004 in Kumasi when he was a student.

“We can all make it, it might be hard now, times might be rough but don’t give up,” he said in an inspirational engagement with the students.

He encouraged the young vocational and technical trainees “to keep studying, working hard, play their part and let God do the rest.”

“I believe everybody is valuable and has some special talents in them that will manifest if only we are diligent and patient enough for God to use us,” he said.

Lexis also shared his other experiences in his business ventures, fitness as well as spiritual inspiration with the students adding “don’t let your current circumstances define you. You are way better and things will be better.”

Some of the students who spoke to Joy News after the session were grateful to Lexis for taking the time to talk to them.

They spoke about how inspired they are after listening to him and would want him to come back in the future to engage other students.

Lexis said his desire to share with others makes it possible for him to invest in mentoring the youth adding “it is a great opportunity to make an impact and I am always ready to take such a prospect.”
