He was struck down by polio at the age of two but that did not destroy him. He braved all odds to become the second World Best physically challenged cyclist in the year 2013.
Not only that, but he also became the first Ghanaian cyclist to compete in the Paralympic Games.
For what he suffered growing up, he has also been signed by Rotary International as the spokesperson for the End Polio Campaign.
Alem Mumuni’s accolades are numerous yet he does not enjoy much support for his career.
