Nana Calls For Prayers – Daily Guide Africa

President AKufo-Addo at the church service

PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO has asked churches in the country to support his government with fervent prayers, stating that his laudable policies and programmes to develop the country would be in vain without God.

The president has therefore implored pastors and members of the other faiths to always pray for his administration to succeed.

“The battle is still the Lord’s,” President Akufo-Addo, a devoted Christian, shouted, attracting wild shouts.

He was addressing the congregation of the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Kumasi on Sunday.

The president, who was on a working tour of the Ashanti Region, besides that congregation, also worshipped at the St Cyprian’s Anglican Church.

President Nana Akufo-Addo used the occasion to give thanks to God over his historic electoral victory.

He also charged churches to use their platforms to explain government policies to the people.

According to him, the support of every citizen of the land is crucially needed to transform the country.

Nana Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that his government has better plans to develop the nation and so all hands must be on deck to support him.

Earlier at the St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Nana Akufo-Addo cut a cake to mark his 73rd birthday.

The president thanked Ghanaians for their support so far, assuring that his campaign promises would be fulfilled.
