Kotoko draw goalless, Hearts beaten

Asante Kotoko and Inter Allies played out a goalless  at Baba Yara stadium on Sunday. Kotoko would have gone three points clear at the top of Ghana Premier League with victory but were subdued by a classic Inter Allies performance of defensive organisation and discipline.

Elsewhere, Berekum Chelsea inflicted a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak in week 9 of the Ghana Premier League at the Berekum Golden City Park. The Blues opened their account in the game in the 21st minute after the Phobia defense failed to pick his run of Stephen Sarfo.

WAFA SC made it back-to-back away wins after a Daniel Lometey sealed the points for the Academy Boys at Bechem United.

Great Olympics claimed their first Ghana Premier League with a 1-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs and Tema Youth were held to 1-1 draw by Medeama SC.

AshantiGold’s slow start to the season continued after they were held by a 1-1 draw to Bolga All Stars whiles Tema Youth were held to 1-1 draw by Medeama SC.

Striker Michael Kpovie continued his fine form in the campaign when he slotted his tame shot into an empty net after goalkeeper Eric Antwi was outwitted by Prince Acquah in the 3rd minute.

The away side probed for an equalizer after creating plethora of goal scoring chances but poor finishing cost them.
